How to Do the Stray Kids This and That Dance
The Moves
The This & That Challenge starts with your right index finger drawing four clockwise circles at the elbow. Then you cross your forearms in front of your chest, still in index fingers, switch from ones to twos, and drop. That is the first eight-count.
After that: step left, bring right together, bend the knees, bounce. Step again. The right leg crosses behind the left. Knees curve inward. Your head tilts left on seven, right on one. The second section adds diagonal hand raises — up to the left, down, up to the right, back — while you walk forward opening your knees on each step.
It is not the hardest K-pop choreo ever made, but the finger circles and the forearm crosses take practice. The timing is tight, and the 2-person version means you and your partner need to be synced.
Or: upload two photos to the This and That template on Summrs and let the AI handle the choreography, the sync, and the timing. Same AI face swap workflow as our other templates — photo in, video out.
The Challenge
"This & That" is the title track of Stray Kids' mini album of the same name, released August 7, 2026. If you want to learn the full choreo yourself, Jing Huang's mirrored tutorial breaks down the chorus in two parts with counts and slow music. SinB's full tutorial covers the whole thing at half speed.
But the part that went viral is the 2-person challenge. Stray Kids members posted paired TikToks in every combination:
- Hyunjin & Han — the first one that spread
- Lee Know & Felix
- Changbin, Han & Bang Chan — trio version
- I.N & Seungmin
- Felix & Bang Chan
- Hyunjin & Lee Know
- I.N & Hyunjin
Then it crossed groups. Lee Know danced it with SEVENTEEN's Dino. Lee Know and ITZY's Ryujin. Hyunjin with RIIZE's Shotaro and Wonbin. Changbin with KickFlip's Gyehoon. Each pairing got hundreds of thousands of likes, and each one brought a new fandom into the challenge.
That cross-group energy is what made it one of the biggest K-pop dance challenges of August 2026.
How to Make the AI Version
- Open the This and That template on Summrs.
- Upload two photos:
- Photo 1 → Front dancer. This is the main position — closer to the camera, leading the choreography.
- Photo 2 → Back dancer. Behind and slightly to the side.
- Pick your quality — 720p or 480p.
- Generate. You get a vertical 9:16 clip with the This & That audio, no watermark.
The AI aims to preserve each person's face, hair, and outfit from their photo. The original dancers' styling is replaced with whatever your two people are wearing.
Who Goes in Front
The front dancer (Photo 1) gets more camera time and leads the visible choreography. The back dancer (Photo 2) mirrors and supports.
If you are making this for a friend or a duo post, think about who is the "main character" of the clip. That person goes in Photo 1. If you are recreating one of the idol pairings for fun — say, you and a friend as Lee Know and Dino — put the Lee Know equivalent in front.
Best Photos for the This & That Face Swap
- Face and upper body. The clip is framed tight enough that full-body is not required, but showing some of your outfit helps since the AI uses your clothing.
- Two distinct people. Similar-looking photos (same hair color, same outfit) can make it harder for the AI to maintain separation between front and back.
- No sunglasses. The challenge has a lot of facial expression — the confident head tilts, the bounce energy. Eyes matter.
- Good lighting. The clip is well-lit, so dark or uneven photos may not blend as naturally.
FAQ
How many photos do I need? Two. One for the front dancer, one for the back dancer.
Is it vertical? Yes. 9:16, ready for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
Does the This & That audio play? Yes — the track plays over the video.
Do our outfits show up? Yes. Each person's clothing from their photo replaces the original dancers' outfits.
What is the This & That Challenge? A 2-person dance challenge from Stray Kids' title track "This & That" (August 2026). Members posted paired versions on TikTok, then it crossed groups — SEVENTEEN, ITZY, RIIZE, and KickFlip all joined. The challenge features finger circles, forearm crosses, knee bounces, and synchronized stepping.
Can I do it solo? The template requires two photos — it is built for the 2-person challenge format. You could put the same photo in both slots, but the choreo is designed for two distinct people interacting.
